PCB Technologies is an IT company that provides organisations with turn-key IT solutions. This includes the full range of hardware and software, networking, Internet services on-site and in-house service, as well as support and support contracts.

We need an experienced and qualified Support Engineer who will be based at our offices and will be involved in support work in many areas, both directly to clients and to our on-site support team. S/he must have related tertiary education and qualifications, professional training plus working experience in the IT Support field.
The applicant should have a good working knowledge of Linux at a server and networking level, Windows-based server and workstations, backup systems, routers and networking, security as well as comprehensive PC and server hardware knowledge. They should also be good with documentation and must be methodical in their organisation. Participation in both R&D and Implementation / Upgrade projects as a key team player will be an essential role. People skills are important and they should be a good team player.
The job will be based at our offices in Rosebank, Johannesburg but will require on-site work from time to time. This person should enjoy working with people under all conditions: both customers and the PCB Support Team, and must be a team player. Preferably the applicant should have their own car, but they should at least have a Car drivers license.
A BSc Degree in Computer Sciences or Engineering (or equivalent) is preferable, plus some industry related training such as a MCSE / Linux / etc will be an added advantage. Working knowledge in all these areas is essential. The salary is negotiable depending on past experience and qualifications.

We also require that this Salesperson respect our tradition of honesty and integrity by only proposing and supplying appropriate, cost-effective and durable solutions to our clients. Familiarity with most aspects of PC's, networks, the Internet and PC Software and Operating Systems is required. Our clients are based all over Gauteng.
The package will be structured on a Basic plus Commission basis, which will be appropriate to the applicants experience and track record. The applicant will be expected to supply their own car for business use.
